Using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment our doctors will provide a thorough examination of your eyes and surrounding structures. This includes Optomap® digital retinal imaging with Fundus Autofluorescence and OCT scanning technology. Regular eye exams are vital to maintaining your vision and overall health.

We are pleased to offer Optomap® ultra-wide digital imaging. Eyes On Optometry Group was the first clinic in Nova Scotia to offer the Daytona ultra-wide field retinal imaging with Fundus Autofluorescence. The Daytona offers a 200 degree wide view of the retina in a single panoramic image. This is much wider than a traditional 45 degree image from a retinal photo. It also has the capability of providing a Fundus Autofluorescence image, a noninvasive scan of the retina that provides your doctor with further diagnostic information.

We are excited to announce our newest diagnostic instrument, an OCT (Optical coherence tomographer). The 3D OCT-1 Maestro provides many advantages in monitoring and diagnosing many ocular conditions. This is more than a photograph of the inside of your eye. OCT scanning technology allows your optometrist to see the actual layers within the retina, providing better monitoring for glaucoma, diabetic macular edema, macular degeneration and much more.

Many eye problems can develop without any symptoms. In fact, you may not even notice any change in your sight. – Fortunately, diseases or damage such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal tears or detachments, and other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be seen with a thorough exam of the retina.
